Notice of Collection and Use
Personal information is collected under the authority of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997, S.O. 1997, c41 and the Public Lands Act and will be used for the purpose of identification, enforcement, research and administration. The information contained on this application and supporting documentation maybe shared with the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, Fisheries and Oceans Canada and others as required as outlined in the Application Guidelines for Cage Aquaculture Facilities. Questions about the collection and retention of your personal information on this application can be directed to the
Manager of the MNRF issuing office.

Part 1 – Application Type

Type A: Application for MNRF approvals for a new cage aquaculture operation: • A cage aquaculture licence under the FWCA and Ontario Regulation 664/98 (Fish Licensing); and • Crown land occupational authority issued under the Public Lands Act for the use of Crown land associated with the cage aquaculture licence.

Type B: Application for modifications to a current MNRF approval for an existing aquaculture operations including: • Changes in production (e.g. species cultured, annual production, feed quota, number of cages) associated with the aquaculture licence; • Changes to Crown land occupational authority (e.g. increase, decrease or relocation of boundaries); and/or • Addition of a secondary site.

Type C: Applications for purposes of; • Standard renewals for existing facilities where approvals issued for the operations approach expiry; or • Administrative amendments of current aquaculture approvals (e.g. change of ownership or address).
